Bertram Dhellemmes (electric guitar, electronics) and Edward Reardon (piano, electronics) propose an organically improvised musical conversation – friendly but not avoiding frictions, temperamental but candid, evocative but unscripted. Rooted in many styles but belonging to none, their music develops freely in the moment as guitar and piano compete and complement each other, with the help of various electronic music devices.

Masha takes inspiration from different collaborations, as well as cultural institutions: from Vienna Academy of Fine Arts till rts.fm and play.fm online music networks. In her works she likes to play with borders between academic and non-academic, pop and underground, original and borrowed, preservation and sharing, old and new, serious and funny.
She has colaboratet with performer/singer Joan Hoban in many performative spaces and art installations.
Since 2001 Masha Dabelka performs with DJ sets and Live acts at various festivals and events such as “Wiener Festwochen“ 2009, “Moving Closer“ Innovative music and art festival in Warsaw 2009, “Viennale“ 2007, “Radius“ in Salzburg 2006, Elevate Festival 2013. Above all else she played in Estonia, Chech Republic, Germany, Italy, Belarus, Russia: Moscow (Arma17), St. Petersburg (Tonnel club), Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk and etc..

Technopellia is an allusion to both E.T.A Hoffman’s short story from 1816, The Sandman, as well as Leo Delibes’ ballet from 1870 that was based on the story: „Coppelia“.
The performance seeks to put in question the relationship between virtual and real space. In other words, how does the dancing body reacts to natural constraints of real space, e.g. air-resistance, gravity, friction, etc., and how does one deal with additional constraints that appear in virtual space, which can be additionally determined by a software?
The dancer in the performance is, so to say, brought to life by a surge of virtual (is it really virtual, or is it digital?!) information. Similarly to the dancing-doll Coppelia, she only fulfills her function as a dancing body. Once that the flux of information ceases, she is turned off again.
From this arise the following questions: is movement real or simulated? Is the doll actually dancing, i.e. is it its mechanics, or is it the living body, which performs the movements?
The borderline between space and spatiality in the virtual age is being constantly expanded and needs therefore to be redefined. The performance thereby questions the nature of technical means and constructions or structures in the context of the digital age.
